As everyone knows after taking the initial home pregnancy test and it shows a positive result we should immediately call our family doctors to make an appointment. Even if that first or second test comes out negative it could mean that it was too soon and obviously there is such thing as a false result. Though even if you are unsure it is always a good idea to go double check with your Doctor so you can prepare yourself for the journey that may wait ahead.

My test came out positive right away, as your may have read in my previous post, so I knew that it was time to go visit my doctor regardless.

My last pregnancy I was seeing my previous doctor & that usually means that they choose to do things a bit differently. Though besides one particular thing everything else seemed to be going the way I expected.

1. I obviously called & set up an appointment for the next morning.

2. My doctor asked if I took an at home pregnancy test & what the results were.

3. I was then asked when my last period was.

* As far as my memory served me I told her the last time I remember seeing blood. Which was April 4th, 2022, right before I started my new job. I did use a tracking app occasionally but I didn't always keep it up to date.

4. My Doctor asked to weight me and took my blood pressure.

5. She then printed out paper work so that I could go get blood work done & a form to go get an ultrasound done.

6. I was asked if I was taking any prenatal vitamins at the time.

* Which I was because I did go buy a normal bottle of gummies at Shoppers.

Though she gave me a new prescription for Prenatal Vitamins called PregVit.

The pink pill was for the mornings and the blue was to be taken at night. The package comes with 30 Days worth. These contain Iron & I knew from my last pregnancy I would definitely benefit from this. Since I had already purchased some gummies as soon as I knew I was pregnant so I decided to finish those off first.

I went to go get the blood work done in the next week or so.

I had to work around Work & my appointments.

Though I can't remember why I waited to go get the ultrasound done, I must have forgotten that the Doctor had given me a form for that as well.

For my first pregnancy, my other Doctor was able to tell me how far along I was just being getting the blood work done & receiving the results. This time around when I received the call about my blood work my Doctor asked me how far along I was. I was totally confused. I told her that I was excited to receive her phone call as I thought she was going to be able to tell me! That is when she reminded me of the Ultrasound paper work & said I would have to go get that done to find out.

Turns out that I was farther along then I had originally though.

I figured I was probably about 5 to 6 weeks pregnant at the time of the Ultrasound but when the Doctor received the results it was showing around 10 weeks or so...

How the heck did I miss the first Month of my pregnancy? lol
